Placement Student

Radweb is an innovative and passionate team of software engineers leading
the way within the PropTech sector. Our Inventory Base and Property Inspect
platforms empower over 3,000 companies worldwide to deliver property
maintenance and rental reports with accuracy and efficiency.

We are based in Portsmouth at the beautiful Lakeside North Harbour offices
with on-site café, Starbucks, gym, nature trail and other amenities, along with
a free shuttle bus from The Hard and Cosham.

Our main tech stack is Laravel (PHP), React (Typescript), and MySQL, which
you’ll be using on a daily basis. We also use many other tools including
Serverless, Node.js, React Native, Redis, and much more.

An overview of this role

As a Junior Software Engineer on our web team, you’ll play a key role in
helping to build, test, deploy, and maintain our flagship products Inventory
Base and Property Inspect.

You’ll be working closely with our Head of Web to deliver bug fixes,
enhancements, and new features which enable us to continue to improve the
experience of our customers.

This role is a full time position, working 09:00 – 17:30 Mon to Fri, with a minimum
3 days a week in our Portsmouth office (Mon/Wed/Fri), from July 2026 to July 2027. An earlier start and/or later end date may be agreed.

What you’ll be doing

Week 1

● Set up your equipment
● Induction into what we do
● Deploy your first update to production

By 3 months

● Be familiar with our architecture and methodologies
● Debug and resolve issues in development
● Have an understanding of automated testing

By 6 months

● Work independently
● Have confidence with the CLI
● In-depth knowledge of the product
