Looking forward to 2013
First and foremost, a belated Happy New Year from everyone at Radweb!
We want to say a big thanks to all of our clients and partners for your business throughout 2012, and we look forward to continuing to do great things together in the shape of web, technology and marketing throughout 2013.
Our blog has been relatively quiet recently and we’re pleased to say it’s because we’ve been too busy to add to it!
We’ve launched several new eCommerce websites for prominent clients, including Bomb Cosmetics, Poles & Blinds and Tidy Books. As part of our complete service we’ve been marketing these websites to achieve front page Search engine rankings and great Social reach.
We’ve also been developing our innovative software application, InventoryBase, building new tools and extensions for its diverse customer base and achieving rank one in the Google search results for our main keyword.
In addition to all of that we’ve been helping local residents in and around Portsmouth connect with trusted local businesses through the scheme Square Deal in partnership with Portsmouth City Council’s Trading Standards. Phew!
Looking ahead
In 2013 Radweb is going to develop at a rapid pace. We’re a relatively small team, and we’ll continue to grow this year by taking on a couple more Computer Science and Web Technology students from the University of Portsmouth, giving back to the University that got us all to where we are today, training a new generation, and doing more for our clients.
With a great list of new projects starting this month, we’re pleased to be doing well in a time of economic uncertainty, and as we grow we want to give more and more back to our local community. We’ve already been involved in the recent installation of free WIFI in Portsmouth’s Guildhall Square, and in helping elderly residents get free assistance from the City Council’s Age Aware scheme.
The most exciting prospect for us is our software engineering team developing Cloud and Mobile-based applications that meet demanding and evolving business needs. InventoryBase has become an inspiration to the team, driving us forward in bleeding edge web application development. We’ve built a platform upon a secure API that any developer can build on to create their own third party tools and extensions, or integrate with third-party software such as CRM and Accounting, not to mention the best end-to-end property inventory solution on the market.
For the Software team, the way forward is Integration and APIs, Real-time responsive web applications, and Mobile – the results so far are impressive. We’ve had to build a strong foundation with tons of automation to manage web applications that can scale to thousands of simultaneous users at extremely low costs. InventoryBase is driven by automated monthly billing that opens and closes user accounts on our behalf, performs regular maintenance of itself, reports every error, glitch or bottleneck to our development team in real-time, and provides its users will all the tools they need to serve their own customers and workforce. We couldn’t be happier with it, and we’re on our way to becoming the market leader in the property inventory software market. As we develop, we’ll release new apps and tools both commercially and Open Source.
We are also looking forward to developing Square Deal further, as we make great partnerships with local council-backed services and professional organisations. Keep an eye on our blog for new developments as we announce them. We promise we’ll post more regularly! For those of you who want more regular updates, follow us on Twitter.
We wish you all the best for 2013, and if you have any projects coming up, would like info on any of our products and services, or just want to have a chat about what we can do for you – get in touch, we’d love to hear from you.
